This module will provide a theoretical introduction to multivariate analysis of spectroscopic data for applications in the field of cultural heritage. Participants will explore data pretreatment methods and principal component analysis (PCA), as well as supervised qualitative and quantitative methods for multivariate classification and regression, laying the groudwork for subsequent practical exercises through the CAT software.
